Why We Built This Site
Ohio permits public access to many court records, but access depends on the court division and the record type. The Mercer County Clerk of Courts, Legal Division keeps the Court of Common Pleas General and Domestic Relations record stream and provides CourtView public access as a convenience. Celina Municipal Court has a separate clerk and CaseLook channel for municipal traffic, criminal, civil, small-claims, and parking matters. Probate and Juvenile records are handled through their own Common Pleas divisions. Ohio has no single statewide trial-court portal that replaces those local routes.
That division of responsibility can make an otherwise simple search unclear. The docket is the running record of filings, parties, settings, and entries in a case, while the clerk or court maintains the original record. This resource brings together the local routes, public-access limits, and practical distinctions without presenting an online display as the official file.
What You Will Find Here
The docket pages focus on finding a local case, understanding its listed events, and reaching the right record holder when a screen result is not enough.
- Docket guides: routes for criminal dockets and civil dockets in Mercer County
- Court dates and settings: ways to read the court calendar and confirm a scheduled hearing
- Case lookups: local methods for a case search by party name or case number
- Record requests: how court records and certified copies are obtained from the office that maintains them
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, not a Mercer County or Ohio government service. It cannot perform the functions reserved for the court or clerk.
- Retrieve an official docket sheet or case file for a visitor
- Set, alter, continue, or confirm a court date or hearing
- Remove, seal, amend, or otherwise change a court record
- Issue a certified copy of a docket, order, or other filed document
- Give legal advice about a charge, filing, order, or deadline
- Guarantee that a published fee, phone number, or setting remains current
Only the record-holding court or clerk can provide an official or certified court record. A CourtView or CaseLook result is useful for locating a matter, but it does not replace the original record.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes operated by third-party providers. Those providers administer their own services and pricing. If a tool leads to a paid enrollment, this site may receive a referral fee that supports its operation. The site does not control a provider's prices, terms, or results.
