Terms of Use

These terms govern use of Mercer County Court Docket. Visiting the site, reading its materials, or submitting a search means that you accept the conditions stated here. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the site. The site is a private reference resource and is not an official record system for Mercer County or Ohio.

NO FCRA USE. This privately owned site is not affiliated with a local, state, or federal government body or court. It is not a consumer reporting agency, and neither it nor its advertising partners provides a service for any Fair Credit Reporting Act-regulated purpose, including credit, employment, insurance, or tenant screening decisions. It exists to help visitors locate Mercer County court-docket resources, not to provide consumer reports or private-investigation services.

1. What This Website Is

Mercer County Court Docket is a private reference site with no affiliation to a government office or court. It does not maintain official dockets or court records, retrieve a file, set a hearing, or file documents for a visitor.

The site identifies the offices that hold local record streams. The Mercer County Clerk of Courts, Legal Division maintains Common Pleas General and Domestic Relations records, Celina Municipal Court has a separate clerk and public channel, and Probate and Juvenile divisions retain their own clerk-facing functions. Ohio has no universal statewide trial-court case-search portal for every Mercer County record.

2. Informational Use Only

Materials on the site are general information, not the official docket, a court order, or legal advice. The Ohio court-record access framework includes R.C. 149.43, Ohio's Public Records Act, and the Ohio Rules of Superintendence Rule 45 framework, currently organized in Rules 11.09 through 11.14 and 11.17. Those authorities permit public access subject to exclusions, redaction, and court procedures; they do not make a convenience display an official record.

Use the site as a starting point, then confirm material information with the court or clerk that maintains the case. A court record can be sealed, restricted, corrected, or updated after a page is published.

3. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, you agree not to:

  • Violate federal, Ohio, or local law
  • Use material from the site to stalk, harass, or threaten another person
  • Use information in a manner prohibited by the Fair Credit Reporting Act
  • Attempt to enter systems or obtain access that is not authorized
  • Run bots, scrapers, or other automated tools against the pages
  • Interfere with the site's operation or another visitor's use

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Mercer County Court Docket is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not create background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provides services for screening job applicants, evaluating rental applicants, setting insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use information from the site or a linked tool to:

  • Make a hiring or firing decision
  • Screen a renter or housing applicant
  • Assess creditworthiness or establish insurance premiums
  • Decide eligibility for licenses, permits, or government benefits
  • Carry out any other activity regulated by the FCRA

Any screening activity regulated by the FCRA must be conducted through an FCRA-compliant provider.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing published here is legal advice. The site describes local docket routes and court-record concepts, but it cannot determine how a charge, order, case, or deadline applies to a particular person. Consult a licensed Ohio attorney for legal advice.

6. Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed

Information is provided "as is." Mercer County Court Docket does not guarantee that:

  • Every statement is accurate, complete, or current at a given time
  • The site will remain available without interruption
  • Pages are free from errors, defects, or security issues
  • Results returned by a partner tool are complete or accurate

Dockets change as matters are filed, scheduled, continued, dismissed, sealed, or amended. CourtView states that online documents are a convenience and are not the official Common Pleas documents. Do not treat a site statement or an online entry as an official court communication. Confirm a docket entry or setting with the court or clerk that holds the original record before relying on it.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

The site links to clerk pages, court portals, court-rule materials, and outside search services. Selecting an external link takes you to a separate service outside this site's control. Mercer County Court Docket is not responsible for another service's content, privacy practices, charges, availability, or terms of use. Review that service's terms before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code on this site are owned by Mercer County Court Docket or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, modified, or used to create derivative material without written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Mercer County Court Docket is not liable for damages arising from use of the site, including decisions made from material found here or through a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, actions, or demands arising from your use of the site or your violation of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Any dispute arising from use of the site must be filed in courts located in Ohio.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated at any time. Revised terms take effect when they are posted on this page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you look up a case or docket for me?

No. The site has no access to a court docketing system. You can use Case Search to identify the local route or contact the clerk that maintains the case.

Can you change or confirm my court date?

No. Only the record-holding court can set, continue, or confirm a hearing. Use the Court Calendar route and verify the date with that court.

Is a docket entry on a linked tool official?

No. An online result can be incomplete or out of date. The clerk or court holding the original record is the official source.
